New year new me? If it was only that simple. New year’s resolution are short lived. Just because the calendar changes doesn’t mean your challenges and obstacles have. Are you magically going to have more time? Even though you got caught with your hand in the cookie jar at the ripe young age of 3 will your will power dramatically increase this year? You really gonna go to the gym everyday and not drink beer? Let’s take a new approach smash your 2017 goals in a logical approach.
Keep your resolutions simple. Make sure your resolutions are straightforward and achievable. You might not be able to lose twenty pounds, purchase a new wardrobe, take up yoga, run everyday and stop communicating with that one person who brings that special kind of chaos into your life, but you can focus on two of those issues.
Manage your time appropriately. For most people, as they age life becomes more complicated and your time is slowly picked away year by year. Make sure to manage your time for your new goals. A helpful tip is to wake up early and tackle your resolution before the day begins.
Write a plan down. Have a plan with clear objectives, goals and timelines and make sure to have a plan B as well.
Choose carefully. We can’t fix all of our problems at once so choose wisely on the goals you set. Make sure to focus on resolutions that will improve your over all health and happiness.
Be realistic. Examine your past failures and successes and set your goals accordingly.
